*Lag Ba'Omer, amongst other things, celebrates the life of the Kabbalist Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, author of the Zohar, the foremost book on Jewish Mysticism. He requested that it be a day of joy - and this celebration most definitely will be!! :)
